2025 Argentina MotoGP: A Repeat of Aragon 2024 for Marc Marquez?

Marc Marquez has kicked off his 2025 MotoGP campaign in dominant fashion, securing a double victory from pole position at the season opener in Thailand. Now, as the championship heads to Argentina, the question arises—could this be another Aragon 2024-style performance for the eight-time world champion?

Marquez hasn’t raced at Termas de Rio Hondo since 2019, but his last appearance saw him claim a crushing victory, finishing nearly 10 seconds ahead of Valentino Rossi. The track’s naturally dirty conditions, due to limited use, could play right into Marquez’s hands, much like Aragon did last year.

Crash Senior Journalist Lewis Duncan believes the Spaniard will be hard to stop:

“Argentina’s conditions suit Marc Marquez perfectly. We saw last year at Aragon how his instinct for grip on a dirty track gave him an edge. Now, after shaking off early nerves in Thailand and proving what he can do on the Ducati, he’ll come to Argentina feeling relaxed—and that’s a serious problem for the competition.”

Jordan Moreland, Crash Social Media Manager, echoes this sentiment, pointing out how dangerous Marquez becomes when he finds his rhythm:

“He thrives in these conditions. The last time he raced here, he dominated. Could it be a repeat? Maybe his brother Alex Marquez, or Marco Bezzecchi on the Aprilia, will challenge. But for Pecco Bagnaia, this has been a tough circuit in the past, and he’s already acknowledged how strong the Marquez brothers will be in the next two rounds.”

With Marquez already showing his championship-winning form, all eyes will be on him this weekend. Will he repeat his Aragon 2024 dominance in Argentina, or will his rivals find a way to stop him?
