Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) set the fastest time on Day 2 of the Sepang Test with a 1:57.210, leading a group of nine riders in the 1:57 club. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) continued his strong pre-season form, finishing just 0.114s behind in P2. Yamaha had another impressive showing, placing three riders in the top ten, with Miguel Oliveira (P8) and Jack Miller (P10), while Alex Rins (P13) was not far behind.

Ducati had a mixed day. Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) secured P3, and his rookie teammate Fermin Aldeguer (P4) continued to impress. Francesco Bagnaia (P5) rebounded from a slow Day 1 but suffered a low-side crash at Turn 15. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez endured a frustrating day, finishing P14 after a crash at Turn 9 and an earlier technical issue. However, Bagnaia revealed an interesting takeaway:
“Honestly, it’s incredible that for the first time in my career, I have exactly the same feeling as my teammate.”
Honda continued to show positive signs, with Joan Mir (P6) impressing despite running out of fuel on his best lap. Johann Zarco (P12) and Luca Marini (P15) followed, while rookie Somkiat Chantra gained experience. Over at KTM, Pedro Acosta (P7) improved despite an early crash, with teammate Brad Binder in P11. Maverick Viñales (P16) and Enea Bastianini (P17) worked on fuel tank modifications to aid adaptation.
Aprilia saw Marco Bezzecchi (P9) enter the top ten, as the Noale factory pushed forward in development. However, with Jorge Martin and Raul Fernandez sidelined, test rider Lorenzo Savadori and rookie Ai Ogura took over track time for Trackhouse MotoGP.
