Stephen Curry Leads Warriors to 119-101 Win Over Hornets in Charlotte Homecoming

Stephen Curry shined in his annual homecoming game, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 119-101 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. Curry, who grew up in Charlotte and played college basketball at Davidson, finished with 21 points, 10 assists, and three three-pointers as the Warriors secured their sixth win in seven games.

The Hornets made it clear from the start that they were not going to let Curry dominate, frequently double-teaming the 11-time All-Star. Instead of forcing shots, Curry adapted by creating opportunities for his teammates, dishing out nine assists by halftime. His playmaking helped Golden State pull away in the second half.

Buddy Hield was the Warriors’ top scorer with 22 points, while rookie Brandin Podziemski contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds in another strong performance. Draymond Green also had a well-rounded game, finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Hornets’ struggles continued as they suffered their seventh straight loss and 10th defeat in their last 11 games. Miles Bridges led Charlotte with 35 points, while LaMelo Ball added 25 points and nine rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Hornets couldn’t keep up with the Warriors’ offensive firepower in the second half.

Golden State bounced back from a tough 126-119 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday and continued their push in the Western Conference standings. With their offense clicking and multiple players stepping up, the Warriors look poised to make a strong playoff push.
