Marc Marquez Leads MotoGP™ Practice in Argentina Amid Tricky Conditions

MotoGP™ returned to Argentina for the first time since 2023, with the premier class navigating tricky but improving conditions at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit. After overnight rain left the track damp, the surface gradually dried following Moto3™ and Moto2™ sessions, allowing riders to switch to slick tyres. Championship leader Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) continued his strong form from Buriram, setting the pace despite a dramatic save at Turn 9.

Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) led much of the session but eventually settled for second, while Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) secured third. Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) impressed in fourth, and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) rounded out the top five, aiming to challenge at the front once again.

Honda had a strong showing with three riders in the top ten—Luca Marini in sixth and Joan Mir in ninth—while Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) and Maverick Viñales (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) represented Yamaha and KTM in seventh and eighth, respectively. Rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) completed the top ten on his debut at the Argentine circuit.
