Jorge Martin “Starting to See the Light” in MotoGP Injury Recovery

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Martin has shared an update on his recovery from multiple injuries sustained during the preseason.

Martin suffered fractures to his left foot and right hand after a crash during the Sepang test, followed by additional fractures to his left wrist in a supermoto accident before the Thai Grand Prix.

In a video posted on social media, Martin admitted the recovery process has been mentally challenging. He explained that while he was recovering quickly after the initial injury in Malaysia, the second crash during supermoto training was far more severe.

His most serious injuries include fractures to his left wrist’s radius and scaphoid, along with four fractures in his left foot and muscle damage to his ribs, making the recovery process more complicated.

Despite the challenges, Martin remains determined to return to racing at full strength. Although he confirmed he will miss the upcoming Austin round, he is working hard to be fit for the Qatar Grand Prix from April 11-13.

While his return date is still uncertain, Martin expressed his eagerness to rejoin Aprilia Racing and resume competition as soon as possible.
