Factory Ducati riders Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia have commended Marco Bezzecchi for his impressive performance at the MotoGP German Grand Prix.
Bezzecchi, now with Aprilia, has faced a challenging 2025 season, stepping up as the development leader for the RS-GP in the absence of injured teammate Jorge Martin. Despite the pressure, the Italian rider has shown remarkable progress, securing a victory at the British GP and a double podium at the Dutch GP.
At the German GP, Bezzecchi was on track for another podium before a late crash ended his race prematurely. Still, his consistent speed caught the attention of Marquez and Bagnaia.
In a post-race discussion, Bagnaia noted, “Bez was the only non-Ducati rider who was strong,” to which Marquez added, “He’s strong in every race.” The duo also highlighted Bezzecchi’s improvement since key tests in Jerez and Aragon, particularly in qualifying.
Currently sixth in the championship with 130 points, Bezzecchi is the top non-Ducati rider, outpacing fellow Aprilia competitor Ai Ogura by a significant margin.
