MotoGP world champion Jorge Martin says he already feels “at home” with Aprilia after returning to action at the Czech Grand Prix, following an injury and contract dispute.
Martin had been sidelined since his crash at the Qatar GP in April. Brno marked just his second race weekend on the Aprilia RS-GP, where he qualified 12th and finished seventh in the main race.
The Spaniard and his Aprilia crew were visibly happy with the result, celebrating in pitlane after the chequered flag. Martin praised the strong bond in the team, noting that it already feels like a family despite only being back for three days.
He shared that the team spirit is helping him regain confidence and that working closely together is key for future success.
Ahead of the Czech round, Martin tested at Misano to prepare for his return. He believes the RS-GP has improved significantly since Qatar and feels he’s getting more comfortable with every lap.
Martin highlighted improvements in braking and throttle control, and believes that with more time, he’ll be back fighting at the front.
