Jack Miller apologises to Yamaha over contract frustrations

Jack Miller has apologised to Yamaha Racing Managing Director Paolo Pavesio after expressing frustration about his uncertain MotoGP future beyond 2025.

The Australian joined Pramac Yamaha this season on a one-year deal and has been seeking clarity over a 2026 ride. However, Yamaha’s pursuit of Toprak Razgatlioglu, Diogo Moreira, and Moto2 points leader Manuel Gonzalez has complicated Miller’s position alongside teammate Miguel Oliveira.

Speaking ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Miller admitted he was losing patience, saying: “I’ve been more than patient enough. If you want me, you want me, if you don’t, you don’t. I have options, and I’ll move forward if a decision doesn’t come quickly.”

Pavesio revealed Miller later apologised for those remarks:
“He lost his temper a bit at the fourth question on the same subject. I love Jack, he’s a great guy, and he came last night to apologise. We’ll decide when we’re ready. It’s a tough choice, but Jack knows he’s on a very short list.”

Despite Miller’s public outburst, reports from Hungary suggest Yamaha is leaning towards retaining the Australian for 2026.
