Manchester United have reached an agreement to sell Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea for £40 million (RM228 million), according to a source close to the club.
The 21-year-old’s transfer fee ranks as the fourth highest sale in United’s history, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, and Angel di Maria.
Garnacho, who featured in 93 Premier League appearances for United, is one of five players moving towards an exit this summer, joining Marcus Rashford, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho. Rashford has already joined Barcelona on loan.
Manager Ruben Amorim excluded Garnacho from his squad this season, with United struggling early on — failing to win their first two league matches and exiting the League Cup on penalties to fourth-tier Grimsby Town.
Chelsea will take on Fulham in their Premier League fixture later today.
