FIFA announced that more than 1.5 million ticket applications were submitted within the first 24 hours of the presale draw for the 2026 World Cup. Fans from 210 countries have already entered the process, reflecting massive global demand for the expanded tournament.
Most requests came from host nations the United States, Mexico, and Canada, followed by Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, England, Spain, Portugal, and Germany.
The 2026 World Cup will feature 48 teams and 104 matches played across 16 host cities in the three countries. The presale draw will remain open until September 19, with successful applicants being informed from September 29 and given assigned time slots to purchase tickets starting October 1.
Ticket prices begin at US$60, though dynamic pricing will be applied depending on demand. Additional phases of ticket sales are planned for October.
