The 2025 MotoGP season concludes with Marc Marquez crowned world champion, followed by Alex Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi completing the top three in the final standings.
Marc Marquez secured his long-awaited ninth world title in his debut year with Ducati Lenovo, achieving the championship despite missing the last four rounds after a shoulder injury in Mandalika.
Alex Marquez delivered his best premier-class season on the year-old Gresini Ducati GP24, sealing a historic Marquez family one-two at Sepang. Marco Bezzecchi completed the top three, giving Aprilia its best-ever finish in the riders’ standings after clinching third place during the Valencia Sprint.
On the final day of the season, KTM’s Pedro Acosta secured fourth overall, edging out Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia. Fabio Di Giannantonio ended the year in sixth, just ahead of VR46 teammate Franco Morbidelli, who crashed during the warm-up lap.
Fermin Aldeguer claimed a grand prix win and earned the Rookie of the Year title. Fabio Quartararo finished as the top Yamaha rider in ninth as the manufacturer completed its final season with the inline-four engine.
Johann Zarco led the Honda contingent in 12th for LCR, with HRC’s Luca Marini ending the year in 13th.
