Arsenal Hand Bayern First Defeat of the Season as Kane Stays Calm

Arsenal delivered Bayern Munich their first loss of the season with a 3-1 Champions League victory, as Harry Kane endured a rare quiet performance. Despite the defeat, Kane stressed there was no need to panic and believes the two sides could meet again later in the tournament.

Kane said the first half was competitive, but Bayern lacked energy and intensity after the break, losing too many duels. The England forward, who has scored 29 goals this season for club and country, acknowledged the setback but emphasised the importance of learning from it.

Arsenal, despite missing several key players, showcased their improved squad depth. Second-half goals from substitutes Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli secured their fifth consecutive win in the competition, placing them firmly at the top of the group.

Manager Mikel Arteta highlighted the progress his team has made compared to two years ago. Meanwhile, standout performer Declan Rice insisted there is no room for complacency, noting that anything can happen once the knockout rounds arrive.
