Di Giannantonio Undergoes Finger Treatment, Expected Back for Czech GP

VR46 Racing Team has confirmed that Fabio Di Giannantonio has undergone medical treatment on the finger injury he suffered during the dramatic incident involving Alex Marquez at the Catalan Grand Prix.

The Italian rider was caught up in the frightening collision between Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta during the main race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last month.

As Marquez crashed, a wheel from the Gresini Ducati struck Di Giannantonio’s motorcycle, causing him to crash and sustain an injury to a finger on his left hand.

Despite the setback, Di Giannantonio showed remarkable determination by continuing to compete and eventually claiming victory when the race was restarted.

Since the incident, the VR46 rider has raced with the injured finger heavily protected, with modifications made to his riding glove to accommodate the injury and minimise discomfort.

Following the Hungarian Grand Prix, VR46 revealed that Di Giannantonio underwent treatment at a hospital on Monday as part of his recovery process.

The team remains optimistic about his condition and expects the Italian to be fit enough to return to action at next week’s Czech Grand Prix.

The latest medical procedure is aimed at ensuring a full recovery while allowing Di Giannantonio to maintain his strong form during the second half of the MotoGP season.
