Zhu Xuan Chen and Ashmita Chaliha captured their first-ever HSBC BWF World Tour crowns at the VICTOR Korea Masters 2026 in Asan, marking breakthrough moments for both shuttlers.
World No.68 Zhu overcame a spirited challenge from Korea’s Yoo Tae Bin, saving three game points in the second game to win 21-16, 23-21. “I’m really happy with the result,” Zhu said. “All the hard work we put in during training paid off, and I’m really satisfied to be able to win the title.”
India’s Chaliha, ranked No.50 and the ninth-highest Indian women’s singles player, battled back from a game down to defeat Han Qian Xi 14-21, 21-14, 21-14 in her first World Tour final. “I feel blessed. I’m hungry for more. All the credit goes to coach Park (Tae Sang), because without him I wasn’t this energetic earlier,” Chaliha shared.

All-Malaysian men’s doubles final saw Tee Kai Wun/Yap Roy King best compatriots Man Wei Chong/Soh Wooi Yik 21-13, 21-18.
Women’s doubles: Luo Yi/Wang Ting Ge secured their maiden Super 300 crown with a 17-21, 21-19, 21-14 win over Benyapa Aimsaard/Nuntakarn Aimsaard.
