Aldeguer Confident in Progress Despite Crash, Eyes Future Success

Fermin Aldeguer is beginning to showcase his potential in MotoGP after securing his first podium recently. The Spanish rider was close to another top-three finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix, but a crash ended his and Gresini’s chances.

Although his season started slowly, Aldeguer has adapted well to the Ducati GP24, showing steady improvement. His performances have lifted him to eighth in the MotoGP standings, positioning him as a possible challenger to Marc Marquez in the final eight races of 2025.

If his rapid progress continues, Aldeguer could eventually move into Ducati’s factory team as a successor to Marquez. Former champion Jorge Lorenzo has even compared him to Andrea Iannone, noting that Aldeguer only needs more time to develop fully.
