Alex Marquez has opened up about a surprising concern as he reflects on his outstanding 2025 MotoGP season. After finishing second overall behind his brother Marc, Alex shared that his biggest fear on track is the possibility of unintentionally causing a collision with Marc.
Speaking on the show El Hormiguero, Alex said that while he is fully committed to beating his brother in a fair fight, the idea of accidentally taking him off the track is something that stays in his mind, especially because they are family even when competing at the highest level.
The brothers recently returned to their hometown of Cervera to celebrate their achievements, marking their first joint celebration since 2019, when Alex won the Moto2 title and Marc claimed the MotoGP crown. Alex described the moment as special for both the family and the community.
During the interview, Alex also shared a light-hearted detail about their family dynamic, mentioning that their mother, Roser Alenta, always hopes to see Alex win and often jokes that Marc should ease off since he has already achieved so much.
This insight showcases the unique emotional challenges and family bonds behind one of MotoGP’s most successful sibling rivalries.
