Alex Marquez has revealed the advice his brother Marc Marquez gave him on coping with the pressure of securing a historic runner-up finish in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship.
After sealing second overall at the Malaysian Grand Prix — his best-ever MotoGP result — Alex completed a remarkable Marquez 1–2 in the standings, the first in history.
“He said to me in Japan, ‘People are giving you a lot of pressure. If you finish third, I was third last year. Don’t pressure yourself — you’re already doing an amazing season. Just enjoy it,’” Alex recalled.
Taking his brother’s words to heart, Alex relaxed and went on to win the Malaysian GP, his third victory of the season.
Marc, recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in Indonesia, congratulated his younger brother on Instagram:
“We grew together, we worked together, we suffered together… and this year, we win together! I love you, baby brother.”
