Bagnaia Aims for Stability Ahead of Misano MotoGP

Francesco Bagnaia is heading into his home race at Misano with measured expectations after a difficult weekend in Barcelona. The Ducati Lenovo rider had hoped a major set-up change at Balaton Park would solve his corner entry struggles, but he reverted to a standard configuration in Spain after slipping to 21st on Friday.

Despite a stronger showing on Sunday, where he finished seventh after improvements in warm-up, Bagnaia remains cautious. He admitted his preference for the GP-fuel tank helps him manage traction and corner exits better, but consistency continues to be an issue.

The double world champion, now without a podium for four consecutive rounds, says he will avoid disruptive changes and instead focus on building momentum at Misano. Bagnaia has enjoyed strong results there in the past, including wins in 2021 and 2022, as well as multiple podium finishes.

Currently 68 points behind Alex Marquez in the fight for MotoGP’s runner-up spot, Bagnaia hopes Misano’s familiar atmosphere and Ducati fan support will spark a turnaround.
