Jack Miller is being tipped for a MotoGP lifeline with Yamaha—not just for his on-track contributions, but for his commercial value.
With Pramac Racing signing Toprak Razgatlioglu for 2026, either Miller or teammate Miguel Oliveira will be forced out. Miller’s current contract ends this season, while Oliveira has a deal for 2026, though rumors suggest it may be terminated early.
Miller’s recent runner-up finish for Yamaha at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours has only strengthened his case, as Yamaha places high value on that event. Beyond performance, however, it’s his marketability that may give him the edge.
“Commercially, Jack Miller is now a Monster rider. It fits with the brand,” said Dorna reporter Jack Appleyard on Fox Sports’ Pit Talk podcast. “He’s one of the most marketable riders on the grid. A pairing with Fabio Quartararo in the factory team makes sense for sponsors—they generate strong social content and represent the brand well globally.”
Appleyard also hinted that crucial talks may have taken place at Suzuka regarding Miller’s future.
Miller, a veteran of Ducati, Honda, KTM, and now Yamaha machinery, has played a key role in Yamaha’s development efforts throughout 2025. With Pramac now a Yamaha satellite team, Miller’s experience is critical in analyzing and sharing technical data across both teams.
While not setting the championship alight, Miller has achieved solid results this season—including a fifth-place finish in America and eighth in Germany. He currently sits 15th in the MotoGP standings, just behind factory Yamaha star Fabio Quartararo (9th) but ahead of teammate Alex Rins.
With his mix of experience, development skill, and commercial appeal, Miller remains a strong candidate for a full-time Yamaha seat in 2026.
