Jack Miller Returns from Suzuka Podium to Austrian MotoGP Challenge

Jack Miller heads into this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix fresh from finishing runner-up in the Suzuka 8 Hours alongside Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakasuga for Yamaha. While his MotoGP future depends on Yamaha’s 2026 line-up decision, Miller says the endurance race was a “fantastic experience” and is eager to return for another shot at the win.

The Australian has a strong history at the Red Bull Ring, claiming three premier-class podiums with Ducati and solid Sprint results with KTM. He’s now curious to see how the Yamaha will perform at a circuit known for its long straights and heavy acceleration zones, traditionally a challenge for the M1.

Miller’s Pramac Yamaha teammate Miguel Oliveira, also awaiting confirmation for 2026, used the summer break to regroup after three consecutive pointless GP weekends. Both riders are aiming to secure strong results in Austria and the following round in Hungary.

Yamaha has yet to win at the Red Bull Ring since its MotoGP return in 2016, but team director Gino Borsoi believes recent progress offers hope for improved competitiveness.
