Jack Miller says he “definitely” wants to return to the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2026 with Yamaha, following his maiden podium at the iconic endurance race last weekend.
The Pramac Yamaha MotoGP rider teamed up with World Superbike star Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakasuga for the 2025 event, finishing second behind Honda’s Johann Zarco and Takumi Takahashi. Despite two crashes in the build-up, Miller pushed hard in the sweltering conditions, but couldn’t overhaul the race winners.
“Second place is nice, but I wanted to win,” Miller said in Yamaha’s post-race debrief. “The view from the podium was beautiful — Nakasuga-san told me it would be — but I want the winner’s trophy next time.”
Miller praised Yamaha’s team spirit and the warm reception from fans, saying he could feel the manufacturer’s “philosophy of constantly progressing” throughout the week. He admitted the experience left him eager to come back stronger and faster in 2026 to fight for victory.
His MotoGP future, however, remains unresolved. Miller is out of contract at the end of 2025, with Pramac having already handed one 2026 seat to World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu. Team-mate Miguel Oliveira is signed through 2026, but Miller remains the favourite to stay after strong performances in the first 12 rounds.
