Jurgen Klopp Celebrates Liverpool’s Record Title Win, Praises Arne Slot’s Success

Jurgen Klopp has warmly congratulated Liverpool after they clinched a record-equalling 20th Premier League title, praising both the team he left behind and Arne Slot’s impressive start as manager.

The majority of the title-winning squad was assembled by Klopp before his departure in 2024. After his emotional farewell, where he famously led Anfield in singing Slot’s name, the Dutchman returned the gesture on Sunday following Liverpool’s 5-1 victory over Tottenham.

Taking to Instagram, Klopp shared a photo of the title celebrations and wrote:

“Super grateful for the past, super, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future! Congratulations – YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone).”

He signed off with “Thank you Luv”, a nod to the Liverpool phrase he embraced during his time at the club.

Slot, meanwhile, was quick to pay tribute to Klopp in his post-match interviews, acknowledging the strong foundation the German had built:

“He helped me even more by the team he left behind and the culture he left behind in that team,” Slot said.

“The quality of the players was obvious for everyone, but the culture of hard work and the spirit among the players and staff has been incredible.”

Klopp, who won the Champions League and Premier League during his time at Anfield, is now serving as Red Bull’s head of global soccer.
