Barcelona have confirmed that teenage star Lamine Yamal has signed a long-term contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2031.
The 17-year-old forward, previously under contract until 2026, played a key role in Barcelona’s LaLiga and Copa del Rey triumphs this season. He registered 18 goals and 25 assists across 55 appearances, marking himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
Local media suggest Yamal could become Barcelona’s highest-paid player if he fulfills several performance-based clauses included in the new deal.
Following his electrifying performances, Yamal is widely considered a top contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
