Liverpool’s Salah Enjoying His Best Season After Victory at Man City

Mohamed Salah delivered yet another record-breaking performance as Liverpool defeated Manchester City 2-0 on Sunday, moving 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Salah scored his 25th league goal of the season and assisted Dominik Szoboszlai’s strike, adding to an already historic campaign. The Egyptian forward became the first player in Premier League history to be involved in 40+ goals in two different seasons (25 goals, 15 assists in 2023-24; 32 goals, 10 assists in 2017-18).

When asked if this was his best-ever season, Salah replied:
“I don’t know. Maybe people prefer my first seasons or now, but I prefer now because we’re closing in on winning the league. Me and the big guys in the team, we need another title.”

Despite only having four months left on his contract, Salah has remained laser-focused on delivering for Liverpool. He is now joint-third on the club’s all-time scoring list with 241 goals, trailing only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).

Liverpool boss Arne Slot praised his star forward:
“The numbers speak for themselves. At the moment, not many things seem difficult for Mo.”

With Liverpool in pole position for the Premier League title, Salah’s brilliance could be the key to their second league triumph in five years.
