Marc Marquez Claims Seventh Straight MotoGP Victory at Hungarian Grand Prix

Marc Marquez continued his dominant run in the 2025 MotoGP season with a commanding victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, securing his seventh consecutive win and extending his championship lead to 175 points.

After taking pole and winning Saturday’s sprint, Marquez initially lost the lead to Marco Bezzecchi at Turn 1 and dropped to third following light contact with the Aprilia rider. Once past Franco Morbidelli on lap five, Marquez closed the gap and made his decisive move at Turn 1 on lap 11, pulling away to finish 4.3 seconds clear of the field.

Pedro Acosta recovered from seventh on the grid to finish second for KTM, while Bezzecchi completed the podium in third. Behind them, Jorge Martin climbed from 16th on the grid to claim a season-best fourth for Aprilia, with Luca Marini fifth for Honda after Morbidelli was penalized for cutting the chicane.

Brad Binder secured seventh for KTM, ahead of stand-in Pol Espargaro, while Pecco Bagnaia made a late error and slipped to ninth. Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top ten for Yamaha.

Further back, Ai Ogura took 11th for Trackhouse Aprilia, followed by Miguel Oliveira and Alex Rins. Alex Marquez recovered from a first-lap crash to finish 14th, with Fabio Di Giannantonio 15th after being forced to start from pitlane. Rookie Fermin Aldeguer ended last after a crash.

Notable retirements included Johann Zarco, Jack Miller (two falls), Raul Fernandez, Joan Mir, and Enea Bastianini.
