Marc Marquez outpaced brother Alex to top a scorching final practice at the 2025 Qatar MotoGP. Despite an early crash, Alex Marquez briefly went fastest late on with a fresh medium rear tyre, but Marc reclaimed the lead by 0.232s on older rubber.
The medium rear remains the popular pick for tonight’s Sprint, though several riders including Fabio Quartararo, Johann Zarco, Pedro Acosta, Maverick Vinales, and Fermin Aldeguer opted for the new soft rear to place 3rd to 7th.
Francesco Bagnaia finished 11th using old mediums, while Jorge Martin – still recovering from multiple injuries – prepares for Q1 alongside Rins, Mir, Marini, and Bezzecchi.
Augusto Fernandez continues as a stand-in for the injured Oliveira, keeping the grid slightly short. The Qatar GP continues tonight under floodlights as qualifying heats up.
