Marc Marquez sends warning to MotoGP rivals as motivation grows for new season

Marc Marquez says his hunger for success is stronger than ever, warning his MotoGP rivals that his recent achievements have only increased his motivation going into the new season.

After overcoming five difficult years plagued by injuries and uncompetitive machinery, the nine-time world champion returned to the top with Ducati Lenovo last season. Despite missing the final rounds after sustaining a shoulder injury following contact with Marco Bezzecchi at Mandalika, Marquez still capped off a dominant campaign.

Speaking at Ducati’s official team launch, Marquez revealed that his physical condition continues to improve and that his focus is firmly on the season opener in Thailand. He explained that he has worked intensely throughout the winter and is already back on the bike, feeling confident that everything is progressing in the right direction.

Looking back at how much has changed since last year’s launch at Madonna di Campiglio, Marquez admitted he feels far more relaxed now. With familiarity around the team, bike and his teammate, he believes he is better prepared to start the season strongly, aiming to continue where he left off.

That confidence is backed by last year’s form, when Marquez dominated the championship with a remarkable mid-season streak of 14 consecutive race wins in his first year on factory Ducati machinery.

Rather than feeling satisfied, Marquez insists that success has only intensified his competitive drive. He described competition as his greatest source of motivation and explained that achieving his goals has pushed him to work even harder during the off-season, including throughout a demanding rehabilitation period.

Marquez said his sole focus remains on returning to victory and maintaining that feeling at the top. His first outing on the latest Desmosedici GP26 will come at the official Sepang MotoGP test, scheduled from February 3 to 5.
