Marc Marquez overcame a crash and a tense moment with marshals to qualify on the front row for the Japanese MotoGP at Motegi.
The Ducati Lenovo rider fell during final practice, with marshals struggling to stabilize his GP25 during recovery, leaving Marquez visibly frustrated. He eventually assisted in the extraction, restarted the bike off track, and returned to the pits to complete the session in third.
Despite the setback, Marquez regained momentum in qualifying, even briefly holding pole before being edged out by Honda’s Joan Mir and teammate Francesco Bagnaia.
“Target done, that was the front row,” Marquez said. “Now we’ll try for the podium in the sprint race and focus on the main target tomorrow.”
