MotoGP Confirms 2026 Testing and Season Launch Schedule

The full MotoGP pre-season programme for 2026 is now confirmed following the announcement that next year’s Season Launch will take place in Kuala Lumpur on February 6 and 7.

The Shakedown Test, reserved for factory test riders, rookies and concession manufacturers, will be held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit at the end of January. This will be followed by three days of official testing at Sepang, where the full grid will return to action ahead of the Season Launch.

Kuala Lumpur will host the 2026 Season Launch, with activities scheduled across February 6 and 7. Further details on the event will be released soon.

The Buriram Test will take place the weekend before the season’s opening round, as Chang International Circuit stages the final two days of testing before racing begins.

Shakedown Test: 29th – 31st January
Sepang Test: 3rd – 5th February
Season Launch: 6th – 7th February
Buriram Test: 21st – 22nd February

Additionally, the Valencia Test remains the first chance to observe rider changes, bike updates, and new additions to the grid. As usual, it will be held on the Tuesday following the 2025 season finale, offering the first preview of the 2026 lineup.
