Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, two icons of MotoGP, reunited at the KTM factory in Austria ahead of the Christmas break.
Pedrosa has been a KTM test rider since 2019, while Lorenzo is set to contribute to the MotoGP programme through his new professional partnership with Maverick Vinales, who will enter his second season with Tech3 KTM in 2026.
KTM expressed confidence in the potential of both riders as the brand aims to return to winning form, having not secured a MotoGP victory since Miguel Oliveira’s triumph at the 2022 Thai Grand Prix.
The manufacturer recently became the first to test its 2027 850cc prototype, with Pol Espargaro conducting initial runs in Jerez.
It is still uncertain whether Vinales will be part of KTM’s first 850cc lineup, as both he and Tech3 are out of contract after the 2026 season, leaving their futures open.
