Marc Marquez has left MotoGP rivals stunned with his resurgence in 2025, combining a transformed physique with the unmistakable aura of a champion reborn.
Jack Miller, speaking on the Gypsy Tales podcast, described seeing Marquez ahead of the season opener and sensing something special:
“When he got off the plane to Thailand and we were on the charter… you saw the aura,” Miller said. “It felt like déjà vu — he’s reincarnated. He looks lean as a racehorse. He’s ready to go.”
After battling years of injuries that derailed his dominance, Marquez’s return to form has been undeniable since joining the factory Ducati team. His leaner build, sharper focus, and the return of his trademark aggression have reignited fears across the paddock.
“He’s an alien,” Miller said. “This is someone who literally rode until the wheels fell off. You could say he forced it too much on the Honda, but that’s just his mindset. He never rolls off — he pushes no matter what.”
Miller believes that Marquez’s relentless mentality is key to his comeback:
“You can try to force it all you like, but it doesn’t always work. For Marc, it’s ride or die. That’s just how he is wired.”
After years struggling with Honda and dealing with shoulder injuries and a fractured arm, Marquez moved to Gresini Ducati in 2024 on a year-old bike, before being promoted to the factory team this year. Now, on the GP25, he’s once again looking like a title contender.
“There were tyre issues on the ‘23 Ducati, but the ‘24 and now the ‘25 bike works great with the tyre casing,” Miller explained. “The grip is better, and the front-end feel is back. And clearly, Marc is making the most of it.”
With his hunger reignited and fitness on point, Marquez’s rivals are watching closely — and with caution.
