Stephen Curry Joins Exclusive 25,000-Point Club with Warriors

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry became the 26th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points, achieving the milestone in a 115-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. Curry contributed 32 points, four assists, and three rebounds, bringing his career total to 25,017 points.

The 37-year-old is now just the 10th player to score 25,000 points with a single franchise. Playing his 1,011th game, Curry admitted he wasn’t closely tracking his total. “It was a surprise, actually. I knew I was coming up on it but didn’t think about it until I heard it in-game,” he said. “There’s a list—Tim Roye told me after the game—that only 10 guys have done it with one franchise, so that’s pretty special.”

Warriors coach Steve Kerr praised Curry’s resilience in reaching the milestone. “It feels like 25,000 threes, actually,” Kerr joked. “Tonight wasn’t a great shooting night for him, but I loved that he played through fatigue and physical defense, getting to the line 12 times. He was brilliant, even when his shot wasn’t falling. That’s the mark of a great player.”
