Intact GP’s Moto2 line-up for 2027 remains uncertain, with the team waiting to see whether title contenders Senna Agius and Manuel Gonzalez will move to other championships next season.
Gonzalez currently leads the Moto2 standings, while Australian rider Agius sits third and remains firmly in the title fight. Both riders have been linked with potential moves to MotoGP, with Tech3 KTM reportedly interested in their services.
Agius is currently being tipped as the favourite to join Luca Marini at Tech3 next season. Should the Australian miss out on a MotoGP promotion, however, Intact GP team manager Jürgen Lingg says the team is confident he would remain with them for another season.
Gonzalez’s situation is less straightforward. While a MotoGP move remains a possibility, the Spaniard could also switch to WorldSBK if the right opportunity becomes available.
“I hear the rumours too!” Lingg said when asked about the riders’ futures.
“If Manu or Senna moves, in MotoGP it can only be one of them. If Senna moves, maybe Manu can go to Superbike. If not, we are very happy to continue with him and do another year with at least one of our riders.”
Lingg was particularly clear about Agius’ situation, saying the 2026 title contender would remain with Intact GP if he does not secure a MotoGP promotion.
“With Senna, it’s very clear: If he cannot go up, he will stay with us,” he explained.
Gonzalez, however, could be tempted by a strong WorldSBK opportunity. He appears to have missed out on the factory Ducati seat, with Franco Morbidelli reportedly ahead of him in the race to replace Nicolò Bulega.
There are still WorldSBK seats available, but competition is intense. Gonzalez could find himself competing with established MotoGP names such as Jack Miller, Alex Rins and Brad Binder for the remaining opportunities.
For now, Intact GP must wait for the MotoGP and WorldSBK markets to develop before finalising its 2027 plans. With both Agius and Gonzalez fighting near the front of the Moto2 championship, the team could face the possibility of losing one or even both of its leading riders at the end of the season.
