British star Billy Bolt, a six-time SuperEnduro World Champion and one of the most skilled off-road riders in the world, has revealed a unique ambition: he wants to experience what it’s like to crash a MotoGP bike.
Despite his dominance in enduro and hard enduro racing, Bolt’s fascination with MotoGP dates back to his earliest memories of motorcycle racing. Speaking on the Gypsy Tales podcast, Bolt confessed, “This is a bizarre thing to say, but I want to know what it’s like to lose the front on a MotoGP bike and just be sliding into the gravel. For some reason, I just need to know what that feels like. That’s on my to-do list, really.”
He elaborated on the thrill of MotoGP crashes, recalling his childhood obsession with watching riders slide on their elbow and knee sliders before tumbling into the gravel traps. “When I was a kid, I watched MotoGP—probably one of my first memories of watching bikes is MotoGP, to be honest. I was just obsessed with the crashes.”
Bolt, who is set to race the final round of the EnduroGP series in Wales this August, continues to add to his world title tally, with the 2026–27 SuperEnduro season beginning in December. As he chases more championships in his own discipline, Bolt’s unusual MotoGP wish highlights the curiosity and thrill-seeking spirit that drives champions across every motorcycle racing arena.
