Toprak Razgatlioglu Eyes Radical Yamaha Change After Fabio Quartararo “Masterclass” at Le Mans

Toprak Razgatlioglu is prepared to overhaul his bike setup ahead of the Catalunya MotoGP round after being left stunned by the pace of fellow Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo at Le Mans.

The reigning Superbike World Championship champion admitted Yamaha gathered valuable data during the French Grand Prix weekend and said his side is now considering a setup direction much closer to Quartararo’s after the Frenchman’s standout performance.

Razgatlioglu acknowledged that Quartararo extracted far more from the Yamaha package than the rest of the riders and said understanding that difference has become a priority.

According to the Turkish rider, Yamaha learned a great deal from Le Mans, and the team now wants to apply those lessons in Barcelona — potentially by experimenting with a completely different balance and setup philosophy inspired by Quartararo’s machine.

He praised Quartararo’s ride as “incredible” and admitted he currently lacks the pace to match the former MotoGP world champion. Razgatlioglu added that the focus is now on discovering why Quartararo’s setup worked so effectively and how Yamaha can replicate those gains across the garage.
