England produced one of their most complete performances under Thomas Tuchel, smashing Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka to record their biggest ever Nations League victory.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scored twice, while Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers also found the net. Bellingham was outstanding, finishing with one goal and three assists as England tore Croatia apart from the start.
The result was Croatia’s heaviest defeat in their history, while England equalled their longest-ever winning run away from home with nine consecutive victories. Kane also became the first England player to score 10 or more international goals in three different calendar years.
After losing to Spain in their Nations League opener, England have now responded with back-to-back wins over Czechia and Croatia. With another game against Czechia coming on Tuesday, Tuchel’s side suddenly look to be building serious momentum.
