Fabio Di Giannantonio Says Factory Support Key to MotoGP Title Ambitions

Fabio Di Giannantonio says factory-level backing will be crucial if he wants to fight for a MotoGP world title, even as speculation grows over his future beyond 2027.

The Italian rider, currently competing for VR46 Racing Team, remains directly contracted to Ducati and rides the latest factory-spec Desmosedici bike. Arriving at Le Mans third in the championship standings behind Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín, Di Giannantonio has emerged as Ducati’s highest-placed rider this season.

While he has not revealed details about his long-term future, reports continue to link him with a possible move to an official KTM factory seat. However, the 26-year-old stressed that maintaining factory support is non-negotiable if he hopes to compete for championships in MotoGP’s upcoming new era.

Speaking ahead of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans, Di Giannantonio said he believes he has earned his current status through strong performances and added that losing factory backing would represent a step backwards in his career and title ambitions.
