Paris Saint-Germain begin their bid for a third consecutive Champions League crown with a blockbuster draw, facing the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City, and Aston Villa in this year’s expanded league phase.
The two-time defending champions will host Barcelona, Roma, Galatasaray, and Slovan Bratislava, while travelling to England twice to take on City and Villa—both teams PSG beat en route to their first Champions League title in 2025. The French champions will also visit Villarreal in Spain and Como in Italy, the latter now coached by Cesc Fabregas.
The league phase kicks off between September 8-10, with fixtures running through late January. Each team plays eight different opponents, part of the Champions League’s new 36-team format.
Other Highlights from the Draw:
Arsenal host Real Madrid, Dortmund, Lille, and Sabah, while facing tough away trips to Bayern, Betis, Napoli, and Slavia Prague.
Liverpool play Atletico Madrid, Porto, Villarreal, and Lens at Anfield, and travel to Inter, Club Brugge, Fenerbahce, and LASK.
Manchester United have home games with Bayern, Roma, Leipzig, and Sabah, plus away fixtures against Atletico, Sporting, Villarreal, and Como.
Aston Villa visit Barcelona, host Dortmund, and take on Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Debutants this season include Serie A’s Como, Azerbaijan’s Sabah, and Austrian side LASK, who reached this stage after a dramatic play-off win. Norwegian side Viking also make their group stage debut, drawing Bayern, Atletico, Villa, and Napoli.
This season’s final will be played at Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium on June 5, 2027, as Europe’s top clubs chase the continent’s biggest prize.
